A 20-year-old man has been charged with rape and assault occasioning actual bodily harm after a woman was attacked at the weekend.
Mathan Vadivelalagan of Gorringe Park Avenue, Mitcham, was arrested and charged yesterday by police investigating an incident in parkland near Victoria Road, Colliers Wood on Sunday, June 8.
Mr Vadivelalagan was kept in custody and is due to appear before Wimbledon magistrates today.
