Guests sampled Aberdeen Angus steaks and sipped gin, beers and a selection of wines at the launch of a pub’s boutique hotel rooms last night.
Two violinists from Memento provided the soundtrack to the event at the Dog and Fox in Wimbledon Village as guests were ushered upstairs to some of the new 17 bedrooms for a tour.
Chefs whipped up the west country's finest beef burgers from the outdoor barbecue and cocktails supplied by Sipsmith, beer from the Meantime Brewery and a selection of wines from wine supplier Cockburn and Campbell were on display around the room.
Waiters were on hand to offer a selection of tasty mini beef burgers, beetroot and goats curd on crackers and smoked mackerel and horseradish pate with cherry tomatoes on ciabatta croutons throughout the evening.
