Police have released new CCTV images of a man wanted in connection with a violent unprovoked assault.

A 23-year-old man was nearing PC World with a group of friends, in The Broadway, Wimbledon, when he was punched in the face and knocked to the ground.

The attack took place opposite the entrance to Queen's Road in The Broadway

His attacker, believed to be drunk, then shouted and swore at the group of men and women, some of whom were deaf.

Police believe the attacker then fled the scene in a taxi, leaving the young man with a broken nose and serious break to his ankle.

London Ambulance Service was called to the scene at 3.30am on Saturday, March 16.

The injured man was taken to hospital, where surgeons inserted a permanent titanium plate in his ankle.

The attacker is described as white, aged 24 to 25, 6ft 3ins tall and of stocky build.

He had short blond hair, a receding hairline and was wearing a dark coloured T-shirt and blue jeans.

New images show the man's distinctive tattoos on his right forearm and right hand.
