This was the scene this afternoon after a car flipped over in a dramatic crash on the border of Morden and Sutton.

Two men were seen running away from the scene at the junction of St Helier Avenue and Middleton Road, and an 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital.

Wimbledon Guardian:

One of the men seen fleeing was wearing a pink polo shirt which would make him easy to spot.

Police are asking people to dial 999 if they see him. Police and ambulance crews were called to the notorious junction at 1.15pm today by an off-duty police officer.

A Sutton Police spokesperson said: “The off-duty police officer reported seeing an overturned vehicle on the junction of St Helier Avenue and Middleton Road.

“He reported seeing two white males leave the vehicle and run off. “One of them was wearing a pink polo shirt.”

The over-turned car is a red Seat Arosa. A London Ambulance spokesperson said they sent a car and two ambulance crews to reports of a road traffic collision.

An 18-year-old woman has been taken to St Helier hospital.

St Helier Avenue/Middleton Road junction crash.

Now where have I heard that before?

20 mph limit, speed cameras every 100 metres and speed humps every 20 metres.
