Mr Cain, from Wandsworth Bridge Road, Fulham, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes after he collapsed and spent almost a week in a coma.

He dramatically changed his lifestyle following that scare and now he wants to give something back to them.

He said: "I didn’t know I had diabetes and one day I went all dizzy and didn’t know what the hell was wrong.

"Basically I remember being at the top of the stairs and I thought if I tried to walk down there I was going to drop.

"I just knelt down and they had to call an ambulance and I was rushed to St George’s Hospital and I still didn’t know what was wrong with me.

Wimbledon Times:

"I was in and out of a coma for four or five days. St George’s looked after me, helped me and saved me and I never said a proper thank you."
