Morden Hall Park has been chosen as one of the top places in the South East to encourage children outdoors.

The 125 acre park in Morden has been chosen by the National Trust as part of a campaign called ’50 things to do before you’re 11 and three quarters.’

The campaign was originally launched in response to the Natural Childhood report, which highlighted evidence of a long-term and dramatic decline in children's relationship with the outdoors.

A launch for the ’50 things’ campaign will be held on Sunday, June 1, and will include kite building, den building and other outdoor activities for youngsters.

The event is being held from 11am to 4pm at the park in Morden Road and costs £4 per child.

Organisers say there is no need to book in advance.
