Two men allegedly stung by the ‘fake sheikh’ in an alleged dry run for a sting on N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos will stand trial on drugs charges.
The case of Leon Anderson of Boundary Road, Colliers Wood and Ashley Gordon of Somerville Road, Romford, was at Southwark Crown Court today.
Mr Anderson did not attend due to a delayed flight from France but Mr Gordon was smartly dressed in the dock for the preliminary hearing.
It is alleged the pair were targeted by News International’s fake sheikh Mazher Mahmood in a dry run for an undercover operation which has seen singer Tulisa Contostavlos appear in court accused of being a go-between in a drugs deal which she denies.
Mr Anderson, 27, and Mr Gordon, 22, have not entered a plea.
They will appear again at the same court on June 25.
