A motorist has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving, after a crash in Morden early this morning that left a van on its side.

Emergency services were called to Calder Road at 3am today, to reports of a collision between a Vauxhall Combo and a flatbed truck.

The smash knocked the van off its wheels, coming to rest on its side in the street.

A police spokesman said one driver fled the scene.

One person was later arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken into custody.
