Rugby mad youngsters met the England captain at their school when he dropped in with Harlequins team mates for a game.

Chris Robshaw trained with students at Raynes Park High School to celebrate a £2,000 grant from Etihad’s Grass Roots fund which will be used to introduce and develop children’s rugby and to establish the school’s rugby academy.

Students met their rugby heroes including Will Collier, Nic Mayhew and Ben Botica who helped them develop their skills at the training session on Tuesday, May 13.

The school’s head of rugby, Sean Boyton said: "The funding will enable us to supply shared kit and extra equipment to students who cannot afford the essentials and also help players meet the subscription requirements for local clubs.

"We will be providing daily coaching sessions, entering teams into weekly fixtures, local leagues and regional competitions."
