Medical students keen to show support for those they treat signed up to have their heads shaved for Cancer Research UK.
After
David Palethorpe, 23, Edward Palmer, 22, Sebastian Locke, 21, Joseph Bridgeman, 22, and Michael Lee, 21, who are all studying at St George's University, Tooting, went under the clippers on Saturday on the hospital grounds.
Mr Palethorpe, said: "We have seen how cancer can devastate patients’ and their families’ lives.
"Many patients don’t get to choose if they lose their hair or not, so we thought we would do this to show our solidarity and support and to raise awareness and money for cancer research."
