Guests donned hard hats to get a sneak preview of the new bedrooms at the Dog & Fox pub in Wimbledon Village.
The 17 en-suite bedrooms at the pub in the High Street will be opening this summer but invited guests got an advanced view yesterday.
Among the visitors were Caroline Cook from Merton Chamber of Commerce and the deputy mayor of Merton John Sargeant.
The rooms have been designed with influences from the area in mind, including Wimbledon Common and the world-renowned annual tennis tournament.
Delivering all the amenities expected of a boutique hotel, there will also be three feature suites each with free-standing bathtubs and large walk-in showers.
