Police arrested three teenagers after they were spotted acting suspiciously in a stolen car.

Four young men were in the car in Church Road, Wimbledon Park, in the early hours of Wednesday, March 19, when police tried to pull over the vehicle.

The men sped off towards Durnsford Road, then stopped, got out of the car and ran off down Lambourne Avenue.

Officers chased and caught three of the men and found the vehicle had been reported stolen on Friday, March 14.

Helicopters and police dogs were enlisted to help hunt down the fourth man but didn't catch him.

The three captured men, all 18-years-old, were arrested at about 12.40am for theft of motor vehicle, going equipped to steal and possession of an offensive weapon.

They were taken to a west London police station and bailed to return in early May.
