Primary school pupils have had a taste of the life of an actor after preparing and then appearing in a professional production.
Students from St. Matthew’s Primary School engaged in vocal and physical warm-ups on Thursday last week before practicing songs from show Momo, currently being performed at the Polka Theatre.
After all this practice, the children got to sing their hearts out on stage at the Polka in that afternoon’s production of Momo.
The session was professionally run, led by Osnat Schmool, musical director and co-founder of theatre company Filament.
Songs performed are part of an original score drawing on African and Ladino music, and the show also features storytelling, physical theatre and puppetry.
