A criminal with a sweet tooth was given anger management classes and fined for destroying £5 worth of cakes at a Wimbledon Greggs bakery.

Robert Andrew Gilmore, 46, was found guilty by magistrates of using threatening or insulting words and behaviour at Greggs in Wimbledon Bridge and destroying £5 worth of cakes.

Gilmore, of Warbeck Road, Shepherds Bush, originally denied the offences that took place in August last year, but changed his plea to guilty before the trial at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 13.

A community order which requires Gilmore to participate in anger management for 15 days was given, and he was ordered to pay costs of £140 and a victim surcharge of £60.
