Pizza making for youngsters helped to kick off the Colliers Wood Arts Festival.

Dozens of young wannabe chefs got their hands dirty at Corleone Restaurant and Pizzeria for the first of the packed programme of events this spring.

Children of all ages picked a range of delicious toppings for their own pizzas cooked in a wood fired oven in front of their very eyes on Saturday, March 1.

The event was under the watchful eye of manager Anna Malysheva, with creations cooked by chef Ivan Krycfalcusij.

Lea Gautier-Bradley, 11-years-old said: "It was fun, exciting and delicious and Anna was a very good teacher."

Robyn Smart, also aged 11 years, said: "I enjoyed the pizza making and would like to do it again."

Anna Malysheva said: "It was a great experience for me and I am looking forward to next year."
