Plans for the multi-million pound regeneration of Wimbledon Park will be on display to the public for the first time.
Two phases of work will take place over the next couple of years if funding is secured to update the stadium and surrounding facilities of the site.
As part of the proposals, there will be a new hockey pitch inside a revamped eight lane, 100m running track, a discus, shot put and javelin area and a new clubhouse on the shore of the lake.
The Wimbledon Club, that is behind the bid, is hoping to have a bike storage area and 'Boris-style' bikes at Wimbledon Park station to allow people to cycle the short distance to the park.
Chris Baker from the club said there would be no extra provision for car parking, because they wanted to encourage people to use public transport.
Outline proposals also show a walkway on stilts around the lake as well as temporary fencing and a new path around the park itself.
The Wimbledon Club has set out a cost of £1.8m or £1.9m, and is hoping to set up a charitable trust called the Wimbledon Hercules Community Trust to manage the site along with the club itself.
The plans will be available to view at the Wimbledon Club, Church Road, on Thursday, March 6 from 6pm in the Lake Room.
