Simple stencils outlining the London Skyline have seen a young group of designers claim victory in a national competition.
The team of Year 9 students from Ursuline High School beat 6,000 other students to reach the finals of the Design Ventura competition last week.
The task was designing a product that was "handy" and could retail for £10, with the Ursuline girls, the youngest to reach the finals this year, taking the commended award for communication for their Skyline Stencils.
Winning entries from the 10 finalists were announced at an awards ceremony at the museum on Febraury 5.
Their work is now on display in The Tank, a huge exhibition case outside the museum on the South Bank until the end of March.
The school has taken part in the competition for the past three years, but this was the first time a team made it through to the finals.
Headteacher, Julia Waters, said: "We are very proud of the success of our team beating off such tough competition.
"The Design Museum Design Ventura programme is a brilliant way for young designers to showcase their creativity and learn the technical and business skills needed to be a successful designer. "Over 300 of our students have taken part in this excellent programme.
"We believe such challenges give students the skills and confidence for success in their futures."
