The New Wimbledon Theatre is asking for family stories relating to World War One on the 100th anniversary of the start of the conflict.

Memories and memorabilia from the Great War are being sought as part of the borough's centenary commemorations.

Company Age Exchange is working in partnership with the New Wimbledon Theatre as part of a London-wide memory gathering project.

Age Exchange will be recording, photographing and digitising any memories and memorabilia people want to share with the community.

The participants’ stories will all be added to the Europeana 1914 to 1918 International Archive and could be included in a touring exhibition, a documentary film, and will inspire a major new theatre production performed by young people at New Wimbledon Theatre in August this year.

The event will be held on Tuesday, February 4, from 10:30am to 4pm.
