Womble to feature on collectible set of stamps
Wimbledon's Great Uncle Bulgaria has been selected by the Royal Mail to feature on a new set of special stamps celebrating more than 60 years of children's TV.
Stamp sheets featuring the Wombles character, along with 11 other much-loved characters from children's TV, will go on sale from January 7.
Representing each decade since the 1950's, the full line-up joing Uncle Bulgaria includes: Andy Pandy, Ivor the Engine, Dougal from The Magic Roundabout, Windy Miller from Camberwick Green, Mr Benn, Bagpuss, Paddington Bear, Postman Pat, Bob the Builder, Peppa Pig and Shaun the Sheep.
