Fire fighters were called to a fire in Morden town centre this afternoon.
Two fire engines from Mitcham and Wimbledon were called at about 12pm today to reports of a fire in London Road in Morden.
A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said: "We were called at 12pm to a fire in the roof of a first floor flat above a shop front in London Road, Morden.
"It was under control just after 1pm.
"Twenty per cent of the roof was damaged."
No injuries have been reported.
Crown Lane was closed to traffic for about an hour but has since reopened.
