Pop-up event to help give Merton's young adults routes into work
A youth led employability project will offer new ways into work for young adults.
Pop-Up Talent is providing taster sessions held by employers with opportunities to talk to working people about their work.
The pop-up shops will involve career taster sessions, workshops, inspiring talks and the chance to meet employers.
Narin Cakir, London Talent's Agent, said: "The events will boost and support finding young people's talents by connecting people with employers.
"There will be a variety of opportunities throughout the day to spark an interest in young people."
The scheme has been made possible through the work of charities and social enterprises, Foyer Federation, Change Makers and Good People, coming together to offer different areas of expertise.
Miss Cakir said: "If young people want to go further, we have a Talent Generation program where the aim is for young people to come up with an idea from their own interests that will benefit the community.
"The final stage in the project is to graduate into the Talent Pool where employers can offer work opportunities through a network of employers."
