Commuters journeys disrupted after doors fall off bus in Mitcham
Frustrated commuters found their journeys were delayed this morning after the doors fell off a packed bus.
The 280 service was travelling through Bishopsford Road, Mitcham, when the driver's door came loose at 8.40am.
About 20 passengers were told to get off the bus and were forced to wait about 10 minutes for the next service.
Kris Maryland, of London Road, Tooting, said: "Everybody started getting off the bus, at first I didn't have a clue what was going on.
"When I went to ask the driver what was happening I saw the door had completely fallen off and was wedged upwards.
"It was particularly annoying because I was already delayed by a cancelled train."
Commuters were reimbursed for the second journey.
