Charity fun run to celebrate new sports ground in Wimbledon school
A charity fun run will be held by a school celebrating the launch of its new sports ground.
The Study Preparatory School, Wimbledon, will hold the event October 11 and will be run by students and families.
Beverley Meads recreation ground, in Barham Road, features multi-use pitches and courts for netball, hockey or tennis.
Alison Dalgeish, head of Physical Education at the school said: "I am exceptionally proud of our new, fully equipped off-site sports ground which we are now using for all our PE training, home matches and sports
The proceeds of the celebratory run will be donated to Footsteps and Momentum, which both work towards helping ill or poor children up to the age of 17.
