Ambitious entrepreneurs will be setting up shop at the first ever Young Enterprise Fair in Wimbledon this weekend.

The fair will showcase a range of businesses set up by Year 10 and Year 11 students from schools in Merton, Sutton and neighbouring boroughs as part of the Young Enterprise Business scheme.

The event will be held on March 23 on the Wimbledon Piazza between 10 and 3.30pm and has been supported by local businesses including Merton Chamber of Commerce and town centre improvement group Love Wimbledon.

Diana Sterck, chief executive of the chamber, said: "Young people have so much to offer and Young Enterprise really helps them show their talent and innovation, while helping them learn about business."

Helen Clark Bell, Love Wimbledon’s manger, said: "I’m really pleased that Love Wimbledon can support local entrepreneurs, and I hope people will come and visit to find out more and to help these young businesses."
