Daughter in 'sober' bid to raise money in memory of dad at Pod Bar Wimbledon
8:00am Thursday 14th March 2013 in News By Lauren May, Chief Reporter
A woman who has already cut off her hair for charity is preparing to jump out of a plane in memory of her dad.
Diana Cardoso, 24, lost her dad to prostate cancer three years ago and has pledged her support to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK every year since.
She has already cut off all her hair and given it to a charity that makes wigs for children with cancer, taken part in the race of life and worked at a homeless shelter on Christmas Eve.
This year she will be throwing herself out of a plane at 10,000 feet, but not before hosting a charity "sober night challenge" at a bar in Wimbledon.
Instead of buying her a drink, guests will be asked to donate the cost to the cause with Miss Cardoso going without a drop all night.
The event will be held at the Pod Bar on The Broadway, Wimbledon on March 20 from 8pm with an optional £2 charge on the door which will go to the charity.
The sky dive is set to take place on June 16.
