Lucky escape after massive tree smashes into home in Oakwood Road, Raynes Park
A home owner had a narrow escape this morning after a 50ft tree crashed onto their home.
Fire fighters from New Malden station were called to Oakwood Road in Raynes Park at 3am on Monday, March 11, after the tree smashed into the roof of the house.
Residents reported hearing a loud bang as the tree was ripped from the ground in strong winds and felL into the house.
No one was injured and there is not believed to be any major structural damage to the property.
