Students at a school in Morden were honoured with a visit from a Lord this week.
Lord Harris of Peckham visited the Harris Academy in Morden last week along with MP for Mitcham and Morden Siobhain McDonagh, and the Harris Federation Chief Executive, Sir Dan Moynihan.
Guests were given a guided tour around the school and spoke to students about how their academy could be improved.
It was the second time Lord Harris has visited the academy since it first opened in September 2012.
Mr Lee Mallin, principal of the academy said: "We’ve been open for nine weeks and we are already thriving.
"Students have responded quickly and positively to the changes we’ve made and staff have gone the extra mile to ensure the Academy succeeds."
Lord Harris, who is the chairman and chief executive of Carpetright plc, sponsors 20 Harris academies across the country.
