Spruce up your garden with cut price compost bin

Residents can pick up a reduced price compost bin this Autumn as part of an eco friendly initiative by Merton Council.

The council has partnered up with Straight, a manufacturer of waste and recycling containers, to offer residents a reduced price on the eco-friendly bins.

Councillor Andrew Judge, cabinet member for environmental sustainability and regeneration, said: "If you have a garden, and do not already have a compost bin, I would encourage you to take advantage of this offer.

"Composting is an inexpensive and organic way of reducing your household and garden waste.

"It's a great way to recycle what you no longer need and reduce your impact on the environment."

Bins are available from just £6 with £5.95 delivery charge.
