A hairdresser has transformed her salon into a spooky hollow ahead of Halloween.

Snipatyboos in Morden Road, Mitcham, is known for getting into the holiday spirit with previous displays and events created for Christmas, the Olympics and the jubilee.

This Halloween will be no exception, with customers invited to navigate their way through coffins, skeletons and cobwebs for the chance to have a cut in a Halloween themed bat or pumpkin chair.

Maria Martin, 41, and the manager of Snipatyboos, said: “I try to do something different because customers are used to it now.

“This year we are doing a fancy dress party on Halloween for adults and kids with games, activities and a raffle from 1pm.

“We are going to have a big spider web with all the different activities on it.

“It is great for the community and customers often leave knowing each other.

“We have one lady who comes down from Kent to visit her father and she brings her granddaughter with her because there is always something different going on.”

No haircut is necessary to attend the Halloween party on Wednesday, October 31, but fancy dress is strongly encouraged. Entry costs £2 and children must be accompanied.
