Having wowed audiences in the West End and on Broadway, Jez Butterworth’s thrilling and mysterious The River is heading to Hampton Hill.
Old Hamptonians’ Amateur Dramatic Society has the amateur premiere of the critically-acclaimed play by the writer of the multi-award winning Jerusalem and films such as Spectre, Black Mass and Edge of Tomorrow.
Originally starring Dominic West in London and Hugh Jackman and Lewisham’s Cush Jumbo in New York, The River is about a man and a woman who come to a lonely cabin in the wood. It is the perfect place for a romantic weekend but perhaps all is not quite what it seems.
It is performed at the Coward Studio at Hampton Hill Theatre from April 26 to 30. Go to positickets.co.uk
