I’ve always wanted to pull off a covert mission or a heist - without the prison time that is.

My wish was granted with the launch of Battlefield Hardline: Live, where for eight days only those daring enough can win a place to test their mettle.

With £10,000 in real cash up for grabs for the winner - who can either keep the bounty or share it with their team – the pressure is on.

As I descend to the holding area in a secret London location I meet my team for the first time, me being the only girl.

Our briefing consists little more of ‘are you ready?’.

Described as a ‘high stakes high adrenaline’ event, I’m not quite sure what to expect.

But with a 100% survival rate, we are assured, we enter into the unknown.

Not before being given our code names that is, and I’m suitably dubbed Princess.

News Shopper:

With numerous sites dotted around - which has you actually running around the streets of London - you almost forget that this isn’t real.

And yes, your clothes do get a considerable amount of dirt, dust and grit on them.

The acting and props are first rate throughout; not once did anyone break character.

CCTV, communication, interrogation, code breaking and The Boss all feature in this real live action adventure.

But working together as a team and having a strategy are elements not to be overlooked if you want to get your hands on the cash.

News Shopper:

I spent a lot of my time in a cage due to my lack of stealth skills, but that should illustrate how this is not for the faint hearted.

It was slightly disappointing not to have a few more minutes, as sadly my team did not progress to the elusive vault.

But time is key in this, and you really are in a race against the clock.

All in all the experience is as close as you can get without actually doing it for real. And going to prison.

Running until next Wednesday (March 25) I can only hope more of these will pop up in the future, but it appears the benchmark has been set.
