An “extensively enhanced” edition of Grand Theft Auto V for PS4 and Xbox One will be released on November 18.

A PC version will follow on January 27.

In readiness for the week after next when gamers will finally get to marvel at next-gen GTAV, developer Rockstar has released two pieces o footage to whet the appetite.

The first clip shows the new first-person mode which includes fresh cover and targeting systems as well as a more traditional FPS control scheme.

First-person mode will be available at the touch of a button so you can easily switch back and forth between perspectives.

The second bit of footage shows the game’s ttransition from PS3 to PS4.

Rockstar says the more powerful platforms have allowed it to improve all aspects of the game, such as increasing the overall resolution (1080p resolution at 30FPS on PS4 and Xbox One, 4K compatible on PC), more than doubling the draw distance, replacing every texture in the game and integrating thousands of new animations.

Players can also expect a range of new activities, weapons and vehicles, added wildlife, denser traffic, new foliage system and enhanced damage and weather effects.

Enhanced radio selections, with more than 100 new songs and new DJ mixes, will also feature.

As per our review of the original GTAV last year, we were blown away by the quality of the game – so naturally we’re very excited about playing the new, improved edition and can’t wait to get back to Los Santos.
