London’s skyline and the iconic OXO Tower have been transformed ahead of the new PlayStation 4 console being launched in the UK.

The lettering on the tower has been replaced by the circle, cross, square and triangle symbols which are synonymous with the PlayStation brand.

The symbols comprise 72 neon light strips in red, blue, green and pink. Each symbol weighs in at 97kg. It is the first time in the OXO Tower’s 85-year history any amendments have been made to the lettering.

The installation will remain until November 30 and is part of PlayStation’s ‘I See Symbols’ campaign, which is giving people the chance to win a PS4 for spotting the shapes. For more information, see www.playstation.com/symbols

Another new London sight to check out is the PS4 Lounge #4ThePlayers in Covent Garden, which is open to the public until December 1 and will give gamers the chance to test the new console. Find out more at www.facebook.com/playstationaccess

The PS4 will be available to buy from stores on November 29, with many planning to open at midnight, priced £349.
