The trailer for Matt Damon’s blockbuster The Great Wall, which has been shot entirely in China, has been released.
The film tells the story of an elite force making a valiant stand for humanity on The Great Wall Of China, one of the world’s best known structures.
After some visually impressive shots of China’s renowned wonder, Matt is heard saying: “I was born into battle. I fought for greed and gods. This is the first war I’ve seen worth fighting for.”
The title card in the trailer says: “One of mankind’s greatest wonders. 500 years to build. 5,500 miles long. What were they trying to keep out?”
Alongside Matt, the cast also boasts Willem Dafoe and Game Of Thrones’ Pedro Pascal.
Stars of the Far East, including Jing Tian, Hanyu Zhang, Eddie Peng, Lu Han, Kenny Lin and Xuan Huang also feature in The Great Wall, which is directed by House Of Flying Daggers’ Zhang Yimou.
The Great Wall is due to be released in the UK on February 24, 2017. It is the first English-language production for the acclaimed director.
