Marilyn Manson’s dad has dressed up as him for a father and son magazine photo shoot.
The controversial singer is known for his heavy make-up which includes deathly white skin, bright red lipstick and lots and lots of eyeliner.
But in a surprise shoot, dad Hugh Warner also donned the unusual look for an interview with Paper magazine, showing a striking resemblance between the two men.
Marilyn said that his dad reminded him of a Dickens character: “That’s a good Ghost of Christmas Future. When I see pictures of my dad, I’m like, he looks like me.”
He continued: “The first time I saw my dad in make-up was, ironically, the second concert I ever went to.
“He was dressed as Gene Simmons and took me to the KISS Dynasty tour when I was 11. And people were asking my dad for his autograph.”
Marilyn’s mum Barbara died in May 2014 and he said that it had brought him closer to his dad.
“I saw the mortality in my family,” he explained. “I think I found a responsibility there, a responsibility to myself. I didn’t want the story to end p***-poor. I just didn’t want to be something less than I was supposed to be.”
