EastEnders fans could win an exclusive tour of Albert Square by turning detective and working out who was Lucy Beale’s murderer.

Since the long-running character was killed off on Good Friday, the question on every EastEnders fan’s lips has been, “Who killed Lucy Beale?”

Now, the BBC soap’s bosses are giving viewers the chance to take the detective work into their own hands, which could bag them a special prize.

Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: “We really want to reward our viewers’ loyalty as we celebrate our anniversary – and what better way to celebrate 30 years than to give 30 fans the chance to spend the day behind-the-scenes.

“But fans will have to play detective in order to earn their prize – correctly work out who killed Lucy Beale and you could soon be walking onto Albert Square.”

To celebrate the soap’s upcoming 30th anniversary, 30 lucky winners of the EastEnders golden ticket who correctly work out Lucy’s killer will get a guided tour of Walford with one of the programme’s stars.

The suspect list is set to be cut back dramatically at Christmas and the storyline will head towards its dramatic conclusion in February, during EastEnders’ 30th anniversary week.

More details on how to enter the competition will be released in January.
