Controversial reality TV star Katie Hopkins is reportedly being lined up for her own chat show.

She is working with digital channel TLC on the show, according to Broadcast Magazine, which said it was still in the planning stages.

The channel declined to comment, but Hopkins has worked with them before – making My Fat Story which saw her put on more than three stone in weight and then lose it again in a bid to back up her controversial views on weight loss.

Hopkins is a controversial figure and regularly clashes with other celebrities. Earlier this week she was at the centre of an online row with ex-footballer Robbie Savage over comments she made about dementia patients “blocking beds”.

The former Wales international, an ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Society, said he was “mortified” by the Sun columnist’s tweets as his father Colin died at 63 after fighting the disease, which is thought to affect 850,000 people in the UK.

The row erupted after Hopkins tweeted about the subject.

In a phone-in with Phil Williams on BBC Radio 5 live, Savage accused the Celebrity Big Brother finalist of making “stupid naive comments”.

Match Of The Day pundit Savage added: “I spoke to my mother, my mother’s in tears. I’ve been in tears tonight because I lost my hero, my father, from a disease which people know nothing about. Going on Twitter to vent some stupid naive comment beggars belief. I’m mortified.”
