Caterham is set to become a fixture on the UK jazz calendar with the launch of a three-day festival this summer.
Some of the country’s finest performers will descend on the town for the first Caterham Jazz and Blues Festival from June 8 to 10.
Among the line-up are award-winning singer and pianist Liane Carroll, who regularly tops the bill at Ronnie Scott’s; singer TJ Johnson; performer, composer and Mojo magazine columnist Chris Ingham; The Violet Jive and singer Joanna Eden.
Performances will take place at The Miller Centre Theatre, The Caterham Club and The Old Surrey Hound’s garden.
Festival director Mike Millstead said: “We are thrilled to be bringing acts of this calibre to Caterham.
“The Jazz and Blues Festival will be a fabulous addition to the already successful Caterham Arts Festival, and is set to be an annual fixture in the UK’s vibrant jazz scene.”
Festival tickets cost £15. Call 01883 349850 or go to caterhamjazz.com
