An-up-and-coming artist is hoping your votes could help him on his way to the big time.

Acoustic grime performer Charlie Hazell - known to his fans a Sketchman - has entered Samsung's Launching People contest.

He is among over 250 aspiring artists aiming to win your votes to get the chance to work with chart  superstar Paloma Faith and get a boost in the shape of funding and equipment from Samsung.

The 24-year-old former Greenshaw pupil said: "They are looking to support someone with unique ideas and style. It's about creating a bit of a buzz and getting frequent votes so I'm hoping people can visit the site, listen to my music and vote."

Sketchman has been performing all over London with regular gigs in trendy Shoreditch and is hoping to appear at Glastonbury this year.

His repertoire is varied and features rap-style vocals over acoustic guitars. He also performs spoken word pieces.
