It’s already starting to feel a lot like Christmas down at a magical adventure park which is set to welcome Santa and enchanting puppets.

Twinkling Christmas lights are being tested and workers are putting the finishing touches to Father Christmas’ grotto at Hobbledown in Epsom.

To mark the start of the festive season, school choirs and performing arts students will perform at the adventure park’s Christmas lights switch-on this month.

Then in its Wonder of Winter Party musical puppet show, Fern the Fairy will go to a glittering land of ice and snow and become part of an ancient legend.

Toddlers have also got the chance to have lunch with Father Christmas. His party includes playtime, arts and crafts.

Sarah Trevillion, acting general manager of Hobbledown, says: "We’re really excited. There’s definitely a buzz in the air. We all love a bit of Christmas. We’re definitely in the Christmas spirit."

Hobbledown adventure park has activity areas based on a mystical story about the Hobblers - fictional characters which live in spectacular play structures.

From tunnels and mazes, aerial walkways, an interactive sand play zone and the borough’s first zoo, the park provides a whole host of challenging and exciting expeditions for the family.
