Tooting Bec Lido is primarily used for swimming but the architecture of the pool also harbours interest.

The history of the pool and its architecture is being explored during Open House Weekend.

Every September visitors can roam London's architecture, with buildings across the capital opening their doors to everyone for free.

Tooting Bec Lido was built in 1906 and displays an art deco design throughout.

It is the largest freshwater pool in Europe, holding 1m gallons of water in total.

Members of the South London Swimming Club will be on hand throughout the day to give guided tours of the facilities and architecture.

They will also give a personal insight into how the pool is run, as well as looking into the history of the lido.
