Matthews Yard is hosting its own preview to the Edinburgh Festival next week.

The up and coming venue welcomes Croydon based comedian Jonny Awsum to perform his new show.

Awsum, 35, is bringing his new show Jonny Awsum’s To Do List for its last preview, before the musical comedian heads to Scotland.

The guitarist started out in a band and used to play gigs at a variety of bars before turning his hand to comedy three years ago.

His new show sees Awsum trying to tick off a variety of challenges on his special Edinburgh to do list.

The aim is to tick off the list with the help of his trusty side-kick Russ and the help of the audience.

Awsum says: "It is a brand new show I am taking up to Edinburgh this year. I don’t want to give too much away as I am performing it in Croydon as well.

"I can’t wait to get up to Edinburgh. The Croydon gig will be the last time people can see it before I perform it up north.

"I have performed at Tiger Tiger a few times, but this is the first time at Matthews Yard. It looks a great venue and I have got a lot of friends and family coming.

"It will be an hour of brilliant musical comedy, with the chance to go on TV as well. So definitely come down and watch."
