Supermodel Sophie Dahl visited Battersea this week to launch a new way to sponsor a dog using your mobile.
Dogmob is a new fundraising initiative where dog lovers can give a one off payment of £3 to get a doggy wallpaper, screensaver and ringtone downloaded to their phone.
At least £1 from every download goes towards Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, which cares for over 11,000 dogs and cats every year.
Ms Dahl said: "DogMob is an innovative initiative. If you are a dog lover as I am, or just a download fiend, it's a clever way to customise your mobile.
"I truly hope it raises tons of money to help Battersea's animal residents, as the home is run with huge care and love."
Dogmob is the first charity mobile phone initiative and was launched after the huge popularity of dog related mobile downloads.
If you would like to donate, log on to www.dogmob.co.uk and select one of the four Battersea dogs up for adoption.
